# Counselling in Tagalog for Vancouver

Westpeak Wellness offers counselling in Tagalog or English for Vancouver, by secure video with a Registered Clinical Counsellor who is a native Tagalog speaker. Sessions cover anxiety, trauma, grief, family and immigration stress, and can move between the two languages within the hour. The first 15-minute consultation is free.

A long-established Filipino community, and care that is easier to reach by video than across the city.

Vancouver's Filipino community is long-established and spread across the city rather than concentrated in one part of it, which means "a counsellor near me who speaks Tagalog" is frequently a contradiction. The nearest one who is taking clients may be a bus transfer and an hour each way.

A great deal of Filipino employment in Vancouver is also shift-based: healthcare, care work, hospitality, and a standing weekday appointment does not survive a rotating roster. Sessions by video, with no travel either side, are the difference between attending and intending to.

Sessions run in Tagalog, in English, or moving between the two as the conversation needs, which is what most bilingual people do without planning to. Nothing about the fee or the availability changes with the language.

The middle column is the point. The choice is not made in advance.

## Who you would be working with

[Camille Granda](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/practitioners/camille-granda), RCC, CCC: Registered Clinical Counsellor. She works with trauma, anxiety and chronic stress, grief, loss and life transitions, and her registration numbers are published in full on her profile so you can [check her registration with BCACC](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/resources/verify-a-counsellor-in-bc) before booking anything.

From Vancouver, an individual session with Camille is $140 for 50 minutes, whether it runs in Tagalog or English, and it starts with the free 15-minute consultation. [Fees and extended-health coverage](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/pricing) has the couples and EMDR fees; many plans reimburse a Registered Clinical Counsellor, depending on the plan.

## Questions people in Vancouver ask

**I work shifts in healthcare. Can this fit?**

Yes, and it is worth planning for at the start rather than discovering later. Booking block by block around a roster, with gaps between blocks, is an ordinary pattern here and pausing costs nothing.

**Can I switch between Tagalog and English mid-session?**

Yes. Most bilingual people do it without deciding to, particularly when something is difficult to say, and nothing about the session requires you to pick one and stay there.

**Will what I say get back to my community?**

No. Sessions are confidential, and the practice has no office anybody could be seen entering. The limits on confidentiality, risk of harm, and legal requirements, are set out on the standards page and are the same as they would be anywhere.

For the wider picture of accessing counselling from Vancouver: waitlists, the health authority, and what exists locally, [counselling in Vancouver](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/online-counselling/vancouver) covers it. Online counselling in Vancouver is booked directly with a Registered Clinical Counsellor, by secure video: no referral, a free 15-minute consultation first, and no trip across town, in a city whose public front door does not offer counselling.
