# Counselling in Tagalog for Kelowna

Westpeak Wellness offers counselling in Tagalog or English for Kelowna, by secure video with a Registered Clinical Counsellor who is a native Tagalog speaker. Sessions cover anxiety, trauma, grief, family and immigration stress, and can move between the two languages within the hour. The first 15-minute consultation is free.

Agricultural work in the Okanagan brings people here for seasons, often far from family and from the friends they would usually talk to.

The Okanagan's agricultural sector draws workers seasonally, including people here on work permits and a long way from home. That combination: temporary, working hard, isolated by language: is one of the harder ones there is, and it is also the one least likely to reach counselling, because everything about the situation says this is temporary and will be endured.

There is very little counselling delivered in Tagalog anywhere in the Interior. Video does not fix the isolation, but it does mean the person you talk to does not have to be found locally, which in the Okanagan is the difference between an option and none.

Sessions run in Tagalog, in English, or moving between the two as the conversation needs, which is what most bilingual people do without planning to. Nothing about the fee or the availability changes with the language.

The middle column is the point. The choice is not made in advance.

## Who you would be working with

[Camille Granda](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/practitioners/camille-granda), RCC, CCC: Registered Clinical Counsellor. She works with trauma, anxiety and chronic stress, grief, loss and life transitions, and her registration numbers are published in full on her profile so you can [check her registration with BCACC](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/resources/verify-a-counsellor-in-bc) before booking anything.

From Kelowna, an individual session with Camille is $140 for 50 minutes, whether it runs in Tagalog or English, and it starts with the free 15-minute consultation. [Fees and extended-health coverage](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/pricing) has the couples and EMDR fees; many plans reimburse a Registered Clinical Counsellor, depending on the plan.

## Questions people in Kelowna ask

**I am here on a work permit. Can I still see a counsellor?**

Yes. Access to a private counsellor does not depend on immigration status. What it depends on is being located in the province during the session.

**Is anything reported to my employer?**

No. This is a private practice with no connection to any employer, and nothing is reported to anybody. The limits of confidentiality are set out on the standards page.

**Are West Kelowna and Lake Country covered?**

Yes, on identical terms across the province. Vernon has a page of its own.

The path from first contact to the end of session one.

For the wider picture of accessing counselling from Kelowna: waitlists, the health authority, and what exists locally, [counselling in Kelowna](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/online-counselling/kelowna) covers it. The Okanagan's population has grown faster than its mental-health services have, and specialist options remain thin.

Other BC cities with a page of their own on Tagalog-speaking counselling: [Tagalog counselling in Vernon](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/tagalog-counselling/vernon), [Tagalog counselling in North Vancouver](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/tagalog-counselling/north-vancouver) and [Tagalog counselling in Cranbrook](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/tagalog-counselling/cranbrook). The sessions are the same from Kelowna as from each of them.

**This is not a crisis service.** If you need urgent support in BC, call or text **9-8-8** at any hour, or **310-6789** for the BC Mental Health Support Line. In immediate danger, call 911.
