## About Aman

I started Westpeak because too many people I knew were putting off therapy for reasons that had nothing to do with whether they needed it. The drive, the waiting room, the worry that someone would see them going in.

I was born and raised in Surrey, in a household where mental health was rarely discussed openly and the weight of it was always there anyway. That shapes how I work. You should not have to explain your family before you can talk about them.

My approach is warm and direct, and grounded in what the evidence actually supports rather than in one school of thought. We work at your pace, and I will tell you plainly if I think someone else is a better fit.

## What Aman works with

### Trauma and EMDR

EMDR-trained, for the experiences that are still shaping how you feel and react long after they ended.

### Couples work

Gottman-trained. The patterns underneath the arguments, and what to do about the ones that will not resolve.

### Culture, family and identity

South Asian family expectations, generational silence, and the space between who you are at home and everywhere else.

## What Aman offers

### [Individual Therapy](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/services/individual-therapy)

1:1 for anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity, family dynamics.

### [Couples Therapy](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/services/couples-therapy)

Gottman-informed: communication, conflict, connection, repair.

### [EMDR Therapy](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/services/emdr-therapy)

Evidence-based for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief.

### [Punjabi-Speaking Counselling](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/services/punjabi-counselling)

Therapy in Punjabi, English, or both, culturally fluent.

## You may be

- Anxious, low, or worn down and not sure why
- Carrying something from before that has not settled
- Stuck in the same argument with someone who matters
- Caught between what your family expects and what you want
- Wanting to work in Punjabi, or move between Punjabi and English

> The first fifteen minutes are free and there is no obligation attached to them. If it turns out I am not the right fit, I will say so and point you somewhere better.

## Sessions in Punjabi with Aman

Aman works in Punjabi and English, including moving between them inside a session, which is how a great many people actually think and speak. It also removes an explaining step: what relatives will say, what is owed to a family, and what gets carried down are the starting context rather than something to be taught at the beginning of a session.

If something goes wrong with Aman, you can raise it with BCACC directly, without going through the practice: [how complaints work](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/standards#if-something-goes-wrong).

## Book with Savneet, in Punjabi or English

Aman is not taking new clients at the moment. Savneet Singh is: a free 15-minute consultation by video, no card, and no obligation to book anything afterwards. For couples counselling or EMDR, Camille Granda.
