Delta is one municipality containing three places that do not much resemble each other. North Delta sits against Surrey and shares its communities and its pace. Ladner is a smaller, older river town. Tsawwassen is at the end of a peninsula with a ferry terminal on it. "A counsellor in Delta" tells a resident of any of the three almost nothing about whether that counsellor is reachable. Bookings and client records are held in **Cliniko**, the practice’s booking and records system, in an account on Cliniko’s Canadian region. Records are encrypted and access-controlled. Sessions are by secure video: the link arrives by email and opens in your browser, with nothing to install. Sessions are **never recorded**, not for notes, not for supervision, not for training. The [privacy policy](https://www.westpeakwellness.com/privacy) sets out the rest. ## A tunnel, a ferry terminal, and North Delta's own case **The Massey Tunnel is the local variable everything else is scheduled around.** An appointment in Vancouver or Richmond is a different proposition at 4pm than at 11am, and a weekly commitment that depends on the tunnel behaving is a weekly commitment that will eventually be missed. **North Delta's situation is Surrey's situation.** The Punjabi-speaking community here is substantial and continuous with Surrey's, and it brings the same dynamic: a strong community, and a corresponding concern about privacy that keeps people from walking into a local clinic where they may be recognised. The fee is the same anywhere in BC.
